McDonald's Hamburger

Except for Carl's Junior's, I've basically tried every fast food chain's hamburger. But nothing rivals what?! Mac's?! That's like unpossible! Because everyone knows Mac serves food of the lowest quality with probably a bottle of artificial flavour + preservatives in everything on the menu.

I first tasted Mac's Hamburger thanks to Xiongxiong, a secondary school choir-mate of mine. Apparently he likes those and their Cheeseburgers lots, and it's freakishly entertaining when you see him sniff in all the goodness of his Ham/Cheeseburgers like a drug addict. He would always tell me, the way to enjoy Mac's Ham and Cheeses is to smell, then bite. Till now, I never questioned his formula, because that's how everyone should eat those!

The first reason why Mac's Hamburger tops my list is cause of the well-pressed beef patty. No doubt it's low quality meat, but the way it's minced far surpasses many restaurant burger patties. Large veins are a minimum, and those things really can really spoil a burger. Then there's the nice toasty feel that you always get from those, removing dreaded moisture and giving a baked aroma to the buns.

McDonald's also always happy to customise your burgers, which is a great service to any food outlet. Their hamburgers are good by default, but you can easily get them to take out that overly-pickled cucumber, add more onions, and pass on the ketchup. All in all, it's fun to experiment with how you want that $1.80 to turn out time after time.

Score: 8.1/10
